Lillestrøm bibliotek startet opp våren 2024 med arrangementet «Fredskafe» tre ganger i halvåret. Torsdag 18. april 2024 var temaet Sudan.
I samarbeid med en sudansk familie i Lillestrøm og frivillighets seksjonen i Lillestrøm kommune arrangerte Lillestrøm bibliotek møte om tema Sudan.
Blant annet innledet Marit Hernæs fra SFS om situasjonen i landet akkurat nå.

Den tredje Fredskafeen ble avholdt 18. april 2024 i Lillestrøm. Arrangementet dykket ned i kompleksiteten i situasjonen i Sudan og kastet lys over glemte konflikter.
Talere som bidro med informative stands, inkludert Amina Issa fra Den Sudanesiske Foreningen i Norge, Marit Hernæs fra Støttegruppe for Sudan og Sør-Sudan, og Hilde Elise Eikenes og Mohammed Haggar som representant for Darfurian forening i Norge for videoene og medieinnholdet presentert til publikum.
Arrangører og sponsorer, inkludert Sudansk familie i Lillestrøm, Lillestrømbibliotekene, Seksjon for frivillighet i Lillestrøm kommune, og arrangementskomiteen med medlemmer fra fokus-landene.
We are so grateful for a profound evening at the 3rd Peace Café event (3. Fredskafe) held in 18th April 2024 in Lillestrøm. Where we collectively delved into the complexities of the situation in Sudan, shedding light on forgotten conflicts.
